Opening hours & tickets

  • When is the Winterwonder Mörbisch open?

    The Winterwonder Mörbisch is open from November 22, 2025 to January 4, 2026 on weekends – Friday to Sunday. Admission is not possible outside of opening hours.

    On Fridays and Saturdays, Winterwunder Mörbisch is open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (last admission at 7:30 p.m.). On Sundays, Winterwunder Mörbisch is open to visitors from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last admission at 6:30 p.m.). The box office opens at 3:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the start of the event.

    This year, for the first time, we will also be open on Monday, December 8, and we look forward to seeing you on December 26 as well. Admission is not possible outside of opening hours.

     

  • Will there be a box office?

    Yes, there will also be a box office at Winterwunder Mörbisch. A surcharge of € 1.50 per ticket will be payable at the box office. The box office opens at 3:30 p.m.

  • Do children need tickets?

    Yes, children also need a ticket to visit the Winterwonder Mörbisch. Children up to 6 years do not pay admission. Children aged 6 to 15 years pay € 9 admission.

  • Are the tickets personalized or named?

    No, the tickets are not tied to a name. A name must be provided when purchasing season tickets, which are therefore linked to the name provided.

  • Are the tickets tied to a specific day?

    When purchasing tickets, you must select the desired day. The purchased tickets are only valid on that day.

    For more flexibility—or if you want to give tickets as a gift—you can purchase gift tickets, which are not tied to a specific day.

  • Are there discounts for seniors, students and recruits?

    Senior citizens, students and recruits with ID (please bring proof with you) pay the reduced price of € 15 in advance sale. For the family package (2 adults + 1 child), visitors pay € 40 and € 3 for each additional child.

  • Are there discounts for people with disabilities?

    People with disabilities and one companion each receive a 40% discount on tickets for Winterwonder Mörbisch. A disability pass must be presented for this. 

  • Are there discounts for groups?

    For large groups of 15 people or more, there is a 10% discount when booking through my burgenland Travel. Large groups of 40 people or more receive a 20% discount when booking through my burgenland Travel.

  • Are there discounts with the Burgenland Card?

    Yes. Holders of the Burgenland Card can visit Winterwonder Mörbisch free of charge. The Burgenland Card is also your admission ticket to Winterwonder Mörbisch. You can therefore go directly to the entrance with your valid Burgenland Card. You do not need to purchase an admission ticket in advance or at the box office.
     

    Please note that admission is possible once per day and the visit can only take place during the validity period of the Burgenland Card. Information about the Burgenland Card is available at card.burgenland.info.

  • Do I have to print out the ticket?

    It is not absolutely necessary to print out the tickets. They can also be presented as a PDF on your smartphone or in your wallet.

  • Are there any discounts with the Burgenland Employee Card?

    Yes, holders of the Burgenland Employee Card can visit Winterwonder Mörbisch free of charge. The Employee Card also serves as your admission ticket to Winterwonder Mörbisch. You can therefore go directly to the entrance with your valid Employee Card. You do not need to purchase an admission ticket in advance or at the box office.

    Please note that admission is limited to once per day.

  • Does the tour guide of a group also pay admission?

    Yes, tour guides pay admission, but benefit from their group's group discount (10% discount for groups of 15 or more, 20% discount for groups of 40 or more). If you have any questions about tour groups, please contact my burgenland Travel.

  • How are groups of children and accompanying adults billed?

    In this case, the group price is applied as a flat rate to the total price, which means a discount on all tickets in every category.

    Example: For a group of 40 children and 10 accompanying adults, the group discount of 20% is applied to all tickets in all categories.

  • What happens if an event is canceled?

    In the event of weather-related cancellation of the event 2 hours before the scheduled start time (04:00 p.m.), the full ticket price will be refunded via the payment method used at the time of purchase. Ticket purchasers will be notified of the cancellation by email. Any changes or cancellations will be announced on social media channels.

  • Are there places to stay in the area?

    Yes, there are numerous accommodation options in Mörbisch and the surrounding area. You can find an overview of all accommodation options at burgenland.info. The nearest towns are the free city of Rust, St. Margarethen, Oggau on Lake Neusiedl, Oslip, Schützen am Gebirge.

  • How do I travel to the Winterwonder Mörbisch by public transportation?

    The 200 bus line runs from Vienna Central Station to Eisenstadt at regular intervals. From Eisenstadt, the 285 and 286 bus lines run to Mörbisch am See. You can find a timetable at ÖBB and VOR. The nearest train station is in Schützen am Gebirge.

  • Is parking available on site?

    Yes, there are numerous parking spaces in the area of the festival theater that can be used free of charge.

  • Are there charging stations for electric cars on site?

    Yes, there are public charging stations for electric cars in the parking lot.  

  • I don't have a car. How can I still get to Winterwonder Mörbisch?

    You can travel to Winterwunder Mörbisch with the Burgenland shared taxi service (BAST). There is a stop right next to the lakeside resort. You can reach the hotline on 0800 500 805. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Is there a shuttle to Winterwonder Mörbisch?

    Yes, there are ways to travel to Winterwonder Mörbisch by public transport. From November 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026, Blaguss will take you from Vienna to the Rust Advent Mile and Winterwunder Mörbisch every Saturday and Sunday. Details of the offer can be found here.

    The free Christkindl Express offers convenient transportation to and from the region's most beautiful Advent markets on weekends from November 21 to December 21, 2025. You can find the timetable here.
