A visit to the Winterwonder Mörbisch not only offers an impressive nativity scene, which is brought to life with hourly projection shows. Around the impressively staged lake stage on Lake Neusiedl, there is a varied program with weekly changing highlights.

From November 23, 2024, the Seebühne will shine in a completely new light: the famous area on Lake Neusiedl will be transformed into a winter wonderland that is unique in the world. Digital projections and an hourly mapping show bring the nativity scene to life. At the atmospheric Christmas market, mulled wine, regional specialties and the warmth of the exhibitors create a cosy atmosphere. A varied concert program and entertainment for younger guests round off the Winter Wonder Mörbisch experience perfectly. Here you will find program highlights.

Children's program

The Kinderfreunde Burgenland children's organization provides a varied program daily from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Singing, crafting, exciting games and painting together will shorten the wait for Christmas. The children's program takes place both indoors and outdoors in the children's area. Sunny Bunny, the mascot of the Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg thermal spa, will also be there.

Sorcery & Magic

Experience real magic on the Advent stage at the Winterwonder Mörbisch. Magician Sven Alexiuss enchants the audience daily at 6 p.m. with a Magic Experience of a special kind. Go on a magical journey into the world of illusions.

Projection shows

What would winter be without the Christmas story? At 4:30 pm, impressive projection shows bring the world's largest nativity scene to life every hour on the hour. Let yourself be enchanted by the magical lights and unique installations on the floating stage.

  • from 6:30 p.m.: World premiere of the projection show on the Christmas nativity scene

Highlights on the first Sunday of Advent

The Burgenland State Orchestra will be creating a festive atmosphere at the Winterwonder Mörbisch with these well-known pieces:

  • Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowsky: The Nutcracker – Suite for Orchestra (ca. 23 min)
  • Antonio Vivaldi: Winter, from “The Four Seasons” (ca. 12 min)
  • Christmas carols, both instrumental and sing-along (ca. 5 min)

On the Advent stage, traditional Advent and Christmas songs will be played from 4:00 p.m. by Doki Brass. The ensemble consists of two trumpets, a horn, a trombone and a tuba. At 8:00 p.m., the EidaxlCombo will take over the musical accompaniment for the evening.

The woodwind ensemble of the Musikverein Illmitz offers festive music at a high level on the Advent stage at Winterwonder Mörbisch. From 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., traditional Christmas carols can be heard. At 7:00 p.m., the Burgenland band Schilfgürtel will take over from the woodwind ensemble. The audience can look forward to songs in dialect and many other acoustic highlights.
